It also hosts a number of community events year round including the Strawberry Social hosted by Altamont Community Tradition, Memorial Day Celebration hosted by local VFW and American Legion, Summer Concert series and Storytime hosted by Altamont Free Library, Movies in the Park hosted by Altamont Fire Department, and holiday celebrations. This park hosts the war veterans' memorial and the Village Gazebo. Orisini Park is located on the other corner of Main Street and Park Street. Within the small park are two benches with views of Main Street and Orsini Park. The Statue was placed in the park in memory of children who have died at a young age. This is a small passive park, containing a stone pathway leading to the Angel Statue.
